New Year’s Message from the President

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a chance to unwind and indulge with family and friends and enjoy the holiday season. Thinking back on 2014 brings a warm smile to my face when I realize how much we achieved together. Through our annual fundraising activities and donations, we raised $100,000 for our 22nd flight to Disneyland. The best part about this is that we all had so much fun doing it! Seeing everyone all glammed up in their masquerade masks for our Gala For Dreams dinner and dance was a highlight of the year, as was taking part in the annual Lori Fergusson Memorial Golf Tournament on a beautiful sunny day in Richmond. We’re already planning our upcoming gala dinner and dance as I write this, which this year will have you “Dreaming of Paris”.

Dreams Take Flight Vancouver is made up of a large group of dedicated volunteers with different backgrounds and stories to tell. But what makes us all the same is our commitment to bringing a day of happiness to deserving children each year on a flight of a lifetime. We thought we would kick off 2015 on a personal note by letting you get to know us a bit better with “Five Questions With…”, kicking off the first edition with yours truly. Each month we’ll feature someone from our Dream Team on our new and improved website. Take a look around and see what we’re up to. You can also keep in touch with us on Facebook and Twitter, both links found on our home page.

Thanks for supporting us over the past 23 years. We’re looking forward to another year full of entertaining events and fundraisers to reach our goal of making children’s Dreams Take Flight.
