The Air Canada hangar at YVR is ready for the kids’ arrival!
Mickey is there to greet the children.
Minnie came too!
It looks pretty quiet at 3:30 am…
..but the children have now arrived, bright and early!
The parents are just as excited as the kids.
Thanks for always coming out, Richmond Fire Fighters Association – IAFF Local 1286!
The kids loved the 501st Legion stormtroopers.
Just some of our amazing volunteers who set up the hangar and helped see us off.
What a fun bunch. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer crew!
Captain Dreams ALWAYS makes people smile.
Tia, Amy-Leigh and Luigi joined us on the flight and were all smiles from beginning to end, like the rest of us!
It’s time to leave the hangar and head to the airport…
…through the threshold and onto the buses to YVR.
Happy hugs goodbye.
Fin from the Vancouver Canucks was there again this year to give the kids a laugh.
Thank you to the Richmond RCMP and Safety Bear for also coming out!
Thanks as well to the Air Canada management team at YVR.
There’s Fin again, along with our volunteer, Global BC’s Barry Deley and DTF Vancouver President Melissa Hance.
A Disney sneak peek with Tinkerbell and Ariel.
Each child got a digital camera to record the memories.
The talented & funny Matt Johnson was back again this year to give the kids a great send off with his magic tricks.
What’s he got up his sleeve…?
And we’re off!

First ones off the plane!
A beautiful sunny day for our arrival.
Here we come!
We received a warm welcome as usual from all of our Dreams supporters in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles City Fire Department was there again this year…
….as was the Los Angeles World Airports Police Department.
The kids enjoyed meeting the LAWA K9 unit’s dog.

Waiting patiently in line for our turn on the rides.
Can’t visit Disneyland without a ride on Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
The classic carousel is always popular with the kids.
Squeezing in three to a ride is no problem 🙂
Who can forget the tea cups? That’s 93.7 JRfm’s Docc Andrews going for a whirl with his Team Donald mates.
The Matterhorn was so much fun!
About to enter Tarzan’s Treehouse.
It’s hard to tell who is having more fun in the photo flash, the kids or our volunteers LOL.
Great reactions LOL.
Time for a snack.
Every child got one of these refillable water bags to stay hydrated.
Popsicles in the sunshine, of course!
Cooling down with a Mickey ears ice cream sandwich. Yum!
Did someone take our volunteer Aaron’s snack?! LOL.
Hanging out in the Dog Pound.
Getting some love from Tigger.
Also happy to see Tigger is Monica, team leader of our Tigger group. She finally got her photo with him after 15 years of Dreams flights to Disneyland!
So glad to finally get a chance to meet Mickey.
The Minnie Mouse group meeting Minnie!
Lori Fergusson, our dear friend who founded the Vancouver chapter of Dreams Take Flight, was shining on us all day.
Our flight crew had a chance to change into their comfortable Dreams tees and have some fun in the park too!
Our good friend Stan the Man from Ryan’s Express, the bus company that takes us from the airport to Disneyland and back.
DTF Vancouver President Melissa (in Minnie ears) catching up with our amazing advance team who coordinate everything in L.A. prior to our arrival, Chad and DTF Vancouver VP Dana. And to the right meet our newest addition Tracy, our amazing photographer!
After a day of fun rides each child was given a wallet with a $40 gift card to go shopping!
So much to choose from…
These lollipops were a hit with a lot of the kids.
Check out what we bought!
Having a rest before we head back.
Thanks for coming to say goodbye, Goofy!
One last photo in the park before we leave.
After a long day, some pizza before we board the buses. Thanks Buca di Beppo!
Time to go but we’re all smiles after a fun-filled day.
Our friends at Mattel were waiting for the kids at the airplane with bags stuffed with toys.
They somehow managed to carry it all!
Thank you Mattel!
Our I Love L.A supporters were also on hand to give the kids some goodie bags.
Thanks to the Aviation Safeguard gang!
Thanks to Swissport!
Thanks to our LAX Air Canada family!
Greeting the kids as they board.
Our pilots handed out more goodies!
Each child received the iconic Mickey Mouse ears as they boarded.
Minnie and Mickey Mouse ears were mandatory on the flight 🙂
When they got to their seats, the kids saw more surprises – a Mickey or Minnie plush toy and a Dreams Take Flight blanket.
Time to cuddle up.
It was a long day, but one they will never forget.
Keeping Lori Fergusson’s legacy alive by completing our 22nd flight to Disneyland. We’ve recorded our memories in this book since the very beginning. We love and miss you Lori!
