Be a part of the Dreams family!
Dreams Take Flight Vancouver is always looking for caring individuals to help us give deserving children the trip of a lifetime. Dreams Take Flight is a 100% volunteer-powered registered charity. Every person donates their time – from the many event organizing teams to the flight crews, all with the goal of helping the kids. Being a Dreams Take Flight volunteer will touch you forever and over time you could even get a chance to lead a group of kids on the trip to Disneyland, as adults from the flight are chosen from our most dedicated volunteers.
We require hundreds of volunteers from all backgrounds of life and skill sets to help out at our various events throughout the year. Our largest requirements are for our Gala in April, the Golf for Dreams tournament on July 4th and preparations for the flight in October. We also have a BBQ in the summer and meat draws every Friday in Delta.
**Please note that all volunteers must undergo a Police Information Check for the Vulnerable Sector (PIC – VS) criminal records background check every two years, regardless of whether or not you will be dealing directly with the children. Checks can be done at your local RCMP detachment or police department. The Richmond RCMP detachment in Steveston is our primary contact and they do the checks for free.
